Source: Gadgetell, Tuvie. Apparently, this concept phone known as Plica is a Gameboy-Advance-DS-like smartphone featuring to conjoining touchscreens when unfolded. A smart design which easily doubles the LCD real estate which is much needed on smartphones. Currently, the iPhone offers a whooping 3.5" LCD w/ 480x320 in resolution. Imagine if you had a phone with two of the same LCDs, thats a combined resolution of 480x640 at 7". Not to much some LCD manufactures can crame in more pixels per inch giving us a reasonable expectation of SVGA resolution that doesn't require the squint of the eyes.
Obviously, overcoming power consumption will be a big challenge; but along with everyone else, I can't wait for a real phone based on this concept. Imagine the kind of mobile experience this can unleash.
