Retrevo App for Windows 7 Phone Ready to Roll

Are you one of those hardcore Windows 7 Phone fanboys and just could not wait to get your hands on one?  Retrevo.com, one of my favorite reviews/news site is already on standby with an app build for the the Windows 7 phones.  The app is called RetrevoQ, developed by Retrevo, a Microsoft BizSpark One partner, will feature the same reviews, product comparison and online purchase options as you would find on the desktop version.  Head on over to this photobucket album to check out the rest of the screenshots for yourself.  From the looks of it, it ain't too shabby...  can't wait to see how it will run on Windows 7 phones.

Whats the deal with Windows Phone 7 (WM 7)?

Is it just me or is there simply a lack of interest to new mobile operating systems ever since the iPhone and Android devices started to take over the world of smartphones?  Palm Web OS to me was just another shot at prolonging Palm's footprint from fading; Nokia's Symbian attempt is starting to look really old really fast and Windows Mobile 7 aka Windows Phone 7 to me just feels like its too little too late.  If you haven't studied up on this OS, take a look at this all you can eat buffet of WM7 information from Engadget.

Things have gotten even stranger when I came across this article from Minyanville which explains why the mighty engineers at Microsoft is justified that no COPY & PASTING is going to make it to the new OS; this is laughable and a huge step backwards.  Apparently, MSFT thinks they've got these bases covered because they have some kind of smart "linking" technology that would recognize most users' needs to copy & paste.  In my humble opinion, NOTHING can replace the needs of copying and pasting.  BTW, incase you didn't already know, prior Windows Mobile OS (6.5 and earlier) are capable of copy/cut/paste functions.

Windows Phone 7 Series

In an attempt to come up with one of the most difficult and bland name for a mobile OS, Microsoft revealed the latest iteration of its Mobile OS officially dubbed as "Windows Phone 7 Series". Apparently, the engineers at MSFT completely tossed out the old OS premise and gave the folks at Mobile World Congress (Barcelona) a brand spanking new mobile OS.

Apparently, the folks at Engadget are praising this release. It appears that the consensus is that MSFT had only one move to make and they are definitely making the right move.
