My BlackBerry 8700c No Longer Surfs the Net

Yep... after 10 months of usage... my phone is no longer capable of finding the EDGE connection, hence, I am prompted that I am not in an area where data network is available message - all the time. The funny thing is that my wife has an identical phone issued by work, and her BB finds the EDGE network no problem. I suppose the timing is good as I have been meaning to cancel my data subscription now that we have two BBs in the house... but I must say that I am pretty disappointed with the 8700 series... I will consider a pocket PC as my next phone of choice... (wait, I am binded to this contract for another 14 months... err... nevermind).
