Android Scan

As we continually use and rely on our mobile phones more and more, we always look for that next feature or app that solves our "daily life" problems. Recent improvements allow us to shop at retail stores and check online for more competitive pricing. To take that a step further, introducing the Android Scan. One of the 50 winners in the Google "Android Developer Challenge", this app will allow you to take a picture of a barcode, scan it online, and provide listings of both online and brick+mortar stores with pricing. Reviews are populated from Amazon.com for books, CDs, and DVDs. Some key features include option to purchase directly online through available stores, identify brick+mortar stores from highlighted text with the ability to call direct and/or get directions, sample tracks from CDs or search local libraries for books directly from the apps. Go directly to site to see a demo video on the app. I am very curious to see what else comes next.
