Handango Smartphone Trends and Top Applications 2007

Handango released its 2007 year end trend report known as the Handango Yardstick today (full report here). For the first time in Yardstick history, mobile applications around entertainment eclipsed productivity related tools (ie. Ringtones, Games, GPS and IM solutions). Its no real suprise that BlackBerry has had a great year which even reflected in their application sales along with the Moto Q, Nokia N95 made into the top 10 handsets of the year. I am surprised to see Pam Treo amongst the top 10 devices. The average price of a mobile app is around $19.77.
