Review: Griffin Streamline for iPhone 3G, iPod Touch

If you are like me, then you are looking for every excuse to avoid the gym. My usual excuses include: the gym is too far (even though its part of my building in Manhattan), I hate the treadmill, there are sweaty people leaving their sweat all over the machines, or I would like to listen to my iPod but don't have a good workout case.

With the new Griffin Streamline case (MSRP $29.99), my last excuse is no longer valid (and somebody just need to come up with a solution to my first three excuses). The Streamline case is a simple solution for people wanting to workout with their iPod Touch or iPhone. The case is made of neoprene and a piece of clear plastic giving you access to the touch screen. The design is so simple to use that it didn't even come with instructions. Simply slide your iPhone or iPod Touch into the case and strap the Velcro armband and you are good to go. There are openings on the top and bottom of the case to give you plenty of access to power, headphone and the data port. The only complaint I have is the volume control (for iPhones) are covered up, so you'll have to adjust your volume on screen, obvious not a problem for first generation iPod Touch users.

The case does come with a handy earpiece organizer so you can wrap up your headphones while not in use. I've taken some pictures for your reference, including modeling this on yours truly. Please don't be jealous of the physique, it takes years of in n' out, brgr, shake shack, john's pizzeria, lombardi's, Grimaldi's and crif dogs to get to that shape :)
