Headset maker Merry Electronics saw its net profits soar 536% on year to NT$341 million (US$10.65 million) in the first half of 2010, buoyed by increasing shipments of hands-free headsets.
EPS for the first half stood at NT$2.16, a significant improvement from NT$0.34 recorded in a year earlier.
Merry is expected to see its revenues grow 15-20% sequentially in the third quarter due to peak season effect, according to an estimate of industry sources.
