No, this isn’t the Galaxy Tab here everyone. The Korean carrier KT has announced their own 7 inch tablet, called the Identity Tab. The tablet will be powered by the ever so popular 1GHz processor, have 8GB of internal storage and the really cool thing is it has a DMB TV Tuner built in.
The Identity Tab will have HDMI port access, along with an SD card slot and a 3-megapixel camera on the back. KT is aiming this device, mainly for web surfing and something to read an ebook on. No word on what version of Android will be on this, but we will keep our fingers crossed that it is 2.2.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will be aboard here, along with the main connectivity of the WiBro data service that will bundled in with the device. The Identity Tab is available to buy starting today, with a price tag of 300,000 won ($251) contract-free or with a 24-month WiBro agreement (priced at 27,000 won ($23) per month).
