Nokia E73 Mobile Phone Mode is Nokia's latest smartphone for the U.S. market. Aimed at business users, it's essentially the E72 rebranded for T-Mobile USA with a few hardware tweaks on the front of the phone. The E73 Mode offers an attractive and thin industrial design that will blend in just fine in the hallways of American business.
However, it has fast data speeds, good call quality, and well-designed web browser, the E73 Mode's operating system continues to be a big let down. It's inactive at times, and the user interface's constant menu-digging makes the phone feel more like a feature phone than a smartphone at times.
The E73 Mobile Phone also shares what might be its single most important trait with the E71: rock-solid construction. Nokias even modern devices like the Nokia N97 and N900 have a tendency toward the plastic end of the spectrum, and creaks, squeaks, and wobbles aren't out of the question, the N95 Phone was particularly notorious for feeling a little cheap. That might all change with the New Nokia N8 Mobile, but for now, the kind of monocoque shell employed by the E73 cell phone is still a bit of a rarity.
Nokia E73 Mobile Phone Design: Nokia E73 is thin, making it very comfortable inside the pocket. On paper, itâs 4.48 x 2.03 x .40 inches. Iâm even more amazed when I take out the 1500mAh battery and see whatâs left of the hardware. The E73 will be the thinnest full QWERTY keyboard smartphone available from T-Mobile.
