Now, retailers and manufacturers using iGoDigital's Product Recommendation Platform can easily leverage a consumers' social network to provide an added layer of personalization and relevancy within their shopping experience. Consumers benefit from immediate access to product recommendations and opinions from their social network as they research, browse, and complete purchases, adding relevance and authenticity. iGoDigital is making the new capabilities immediately available to retailers and manufacturers.

Here's how it works:
As a consumer shops a retailers' website or mobile application, they now have the ability to opt-in to their Facebook account from within the pages of the site. Once logged in to Facebook, the iGoDigital integration presents the consumer with direct and indirect product suggestions from within their social network. iGoDigital is able to leverage the power of a consumers' social network to provide personalized products recommendations based on Friends' interests and likes. For example, if a consumer is looking for a movie to purchase and clicks on Where the Wild Things Are, the iGoDigital Facebook integration allows the shopper to see which friends also like that movie.
Furthermore, another component to this new integration is directed towards the more "active" Facebook user, as it gives the shopper the opportunity to pull in friends into the shopping process. For example, as a consumer is shopping he or she will have the ability to receive direct advice from Facebook friends by posting the actual product on their wall leaving it open for comments and suggestions. This will serve as personal product reviews for the shopper.
