Operator MTS reported that the consolidated number of subscribers of company for state on July 31, 2010 composed 99,21 million users. The in July 2010 consolidated user base MTS increased by 390 thousand users.

According to the director “MTS Russia” Alexander [Popovskogo], in July on the level of connections MTS demonstrated in Russia stable results. The decrease of user base in the Moscow region is caused by the writing off of the subscribers, who were connected in the course of winter marketing actions and forewent the services to connection after the completion of [promo]- period. The level of connections in this region was in July above average monthly index in the first half-year of 2010. Under the conditions of the saturated market the operator is continued to adhere to the policy of an improvement in the quality of user base and stimulation of consumption.
