Asia Pacific Broadband Telecom (APBT), the only 3G mobile telecom carrier adopting CDMA2000 in Taiwan, will launch 3.5G broadband mobile Internet-access service in March 2011, according to the company.
APBT has decided to procure 1,200-1,300 EVDO (evolution data optimized) base stations in 2010-2011 for setting up its 3.5G network, the company said, adding it expects to complete 90% of the 3.5G network and begin testing at the end of 2010.
