With no confirmed schedule for the iPhone 4 launch in Taiwan and uncertainties surrounding the performance of the new device's antenna, the three main carriers in Taiwan are seeing a surge in sales for the iPhone 3GS, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) have completely sold out their inventory for the 16GB and 32GB versions of the iPhone 3GS and only have the 8GB version in stock.
Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has sold out the 16GB version this week and the same is expected for the 32GB model next week. The carrier is planning to bring in the 8GB version as it awaits for the arrival of the iPhone 4.
