RIM Releases New Web Development Tools
New plug-ins for the Eclipse and Visual Studio development environments have been announced that will help application makers get started with web apps for BlackBerry . RIM’s latest push to support web apps was made at the last BlackBerry Developer Conference, so there has been sufficient time to get dev feedback and polish the tools. With these plugins, hopefully we’ll see some rich web-powered apps that won’t hinge on limited device-side resources, but let’s give developers some time to make something. If web apps are your bag, you can get started with the Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Visual Studio plug-in here and the Eclipse plug-in here.
