Inventec Appliances has reported NT$21.9 billion (US$684.2 million) in consolidated revenues for the first half of 2010, up 40% on year. After-tax profit for the period rose 44.7% to NT$268 million and EPS increased 43% to NT$0.5 on 10.4% gross margin, which grew 0.6 percentage points from a year ago.
For the second quarter's consolidated results, revenues reached NT$11.4 billion and gross profit totaled NT$1.28 billion on 11.3% gross margin. After-tax profit came to NT$230 million or NT$0.43 a share versus NT$0.07 in the first quarter.
With shipment increase expected for Apple's iPod and TomTom's portable navigation devices (PND), Inventec Appliances' third-quarter sales should grow by 10-15% sequentially, according to market watchers.
