* Three-year extension of managed services contract
* Ericsson fully responsible for the operation of Netia’s fixed network
* Trusted partner to maintain Netia’s network quality
Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) and Poland’s leading fixed network operator Netia have signed a contract to prolong their existing managed services partnership, announced in 2006. The agreement covers maintenance and management of Netia’s networks, as well as support in the provision of services to Netia’s residential and business customers.
Miroslaw Godlewski, CEO of Netia, says: “Part of Netia’s mission is to provide fully integrated fixed-line telecom services through state-of-the-art networks. Through the managed services contract, Ericsson supports us in that. It is a true business partnership with common goals between the two organizations.”
Valter D’Avino, Vice President and Head of Managed Services, Ericsson, says: “Ericsson is proud to announce this extension contract with Netia because it is a proof of the value acknowledged by Netia with the existing partnership. It is an important win that not only strengthens Ericsson’s position as the global leader in managed services, but also in the fixed-line segment.”
Netia takes pride in the quality of its networks and services, customer satisfaction and competitive tariffs. The agreement allows Netia to further increase its focus on its core business, the subscribers, while Ericsson takes full responsibility for the operation of the network.
