As several WiMAX operators and developers of WiMAX chip solutions have stepped into LTE, it has increasing potential to become a dominant global 4G standard and therefore WiMAX operators are recommended to venture into LTE for dual-mode business operations, according to Rohde & Schwarz Taiwan at a forum in Taipei.
A total of 22 LTE networks will enter commercial operations by the end of 2010 and the number of commercialized LTE networks is expected to reach 45, Rohde & Schwarz Taiwan quoted data from the the Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) as indicating.
